How DegenParty works

The short version, because this is the question we get most.

Degen Coins are not money and cannot be cashed out. There is no withdrawal button, no minimum balance that unlocks one, and no exchange rate. A million coins is worth exactly what one coin is worth: nothing.

DegenParty is a free social game site attached to a stream. It is not a casino - you can't deposit, you can't buy coins, and nobody loses real money here.

So why do people win real prizes?

Because the prizes don't come from the games. They come from challenges and giveaways that a streamer runs and pays for out of their own pocket, as a promotion for their channel. The games are how you qualify; they are not where the money is.

Think of it like a raffle at a bar. The darts don't pay out - the prize draw does, and the landlord is the one buying the prize.

What is real

  • Prizes on challenges and raffles, when a streamer has put one up
  • The draw itself - every result comes from a seed you can check
  • Your rank, XP and place on the leaderboards

What is not

  • Degen Coins - free to get, worth nothing, not transferable
  • Every number the games pay out in - all of it is coins
  • Any idea of a "balance" you could withdraw

Where coins come from

You earn them, and that's the only way to get them. There is nothing to buy. The check-in hands you coins every time its timer is up, playing along on stream earns them, and connecting your accounts earns them. If you run out, you wait for the next check-in - you do not top up, because there is nothing to top up with.

Coins can't be sent to another player, sold, or moved off the site. Anyone offering to buy or sell them is running a scam, and we'll ban both ends of it.

How to actually be in with a chance

Prizes only go to accounts we can identify and pay. That's five steps, once:

  1. Log in with Kick. That's your account here.
  2. Connect Discord on your account page, and join the streamer's Discord server - that's where winners get contacted.
  3. Get voice verified. Hop into a voice channel in that Discord and ask a mod to verify you. They give you the Giveaway Verified role, and without it a win can't be paid. It's a one-time check, and it's there because Discord accounts are free - the voice check is what stops one person farming prizes with a pile of alts.
  4. Save a payout handle under Payouts. Each streamer pays through their own methods, so fill in whichever you have.
  5. Win something. Take a challenge or land in a raffle draw.

A prize is then sent by a person, by hand, to the handle you saved. It is not automatic and it is not instant. If your details are wrong or missing, the prize can't be paid.

The games are provably fair

Every original on the site derives its result from HMAC_SHA256(serverSeed, clientSeed:nonce). We publish the hash of the server seed before you play, so it's fixed in advance and we can't change it once you've bet. Rotate your seed pair on any game's Fairness panel and the old server seed is revealed, letting you replay every past round and check it matches.

Raffle draws work the same way: the seed is committed as a hash when the raffle opens and revealed with the result, so anyone can recompute the winner from the entry list. The draw that hands out a real prize shouldn't be the one you have to take on trust.

This is still gambling-shaped, so

The games look and feel like casino games on purpose, and that can be a problem for some people even when nothing real is at stake. You must be 18 or over to use the site. If the way you play here worries you - or the real thing does - BeGambleAware and Gamblers Anonymous are free and independent of us.

Nothing here should be read as a suggestion to gamble for real money anywhere else.
